Organization and Units

he Floral Park Police Department is commanded by a Police Commissioner who is the chief executive officer of the Department, and final Departmental authority in all matters of policy, operations and discipline. He exercises all lawful powers of his office and issues such lawful orders as necessary to assure the effective operation and performance of the Department.  

The Floral Park Police Department is made up of two general divisions; Operations, and Administration. Each division is commanded by a lieutenant and has its own responsibility to the department and the community that we serve.

The Operations and Patrol Services Division oversees the Patrol and Investigative Units of the the Police Department, as well as teams of patrol officers assigned to specialized tasks such as Traffic Enforcement and Bicylcle Patrol.
The Administrative and Support Services Division oversees the Communications, and Auxiliary Services Units of the Police Department. It also coordinates the Staff Services Sections such as Personnel, Training, Property, Records, Licensing and Equipment.
