As I am sure you are aware, there has been a recent spike in Coronavirus cases statewide and locally. To try to stem this spread, the Village will be taking certain steps to try to limit public contact once again.  Through next Friday, November 27th, Village Hall and the Buildings and Public Works Departments will only be taking public inquiries and transactions by phone or email. Please check the Village website for contact information for all Village Departments and options for dealing with the Village remotely.

We took the step of limiting interaction with the Buildings and Public Works Department at the beginning of this week out of an abundance of caution because a member of our DPW Administrative Staff tested positive for COVID-19. This individual did not have close contact with the public and any employees with whom he has had contact have been notified and are proceeding according to established protocols.

Today we learned that Mayor Longobardi tested positive for COVID-19.  Mayor Longobardi does not maintain regular office hours at Village Hall and any staff with whom he has come into close contact and others have been notified and are proceeding according to established protocols.   Currently Mayor Longobardi is quarantining at home.

To date, no Village staff who have interactions with the public at Village Hall, the DPW and Building Departments have tested positive, and all safety protocols are and have been followed. However, we believe it is safer, for the public and for the employees, that we limit public and employee contact at Village Hall and the Building and Public Works Department offices. All Village Departments remain open and will continue to provide their services to the Village residents.   As always, the health and safety of the public and the Village employees is our paramount concern.
