Please be advised that on Wednesday, November 2nd (weather permitting). Macedo Contractors will be paving the following locations:

Spooner Street
Flower Avenue 
Spooner Municipal Parking Field 

All vehicles must be removed from these areas by 7am, and driveway access will re-open by 5pm.

Spooner Street and the Spooner Street parking lot are currently being reconstructed. We are anticipating the work (weather permitting) to be completed within 3-4 weeks.

As you may have noticed, several roads and parking lots throughout the village have undergone reconstruction. Ongoing is Spooner Street and the Spooner Street Parking Field. Below are pictures of the recent reconstruction of S. Tyson Avenue and Pandosa Memorial Avenue (at the dead end of Geranium to Violet Avenues).

The Department of Public Works is pleased to announce the following road reconstruction projects are scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2022:

  • Spooner Street (Plainfield Avenue to S. Tyson Avenue, including the Spooner Parking Field);
  • Hinsdale Avenue (Jericho Turnpike to Lowell Avenue); and
  • Marshall Avenue (Covert Avenue to Orchid Street).

 In addition, as part of an Agreement between the Village and National Grid, the following roads in Hillcrest section are slated for resurfacing due to gas main replacements:

  • Orchid Street (Tulip Avenue to Marshall Avenue);
  • Marshall Avenue (Orchid Street to Revere Drive West);
  • Hill Street;
  • Fern Street; and
  • Revere Drive East.

 The resurfacing of these streets is also anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2022.
