Over the last several weeks, our Department of Public Works, together with the Village’s road contractor, made a lot of progress in the Village’s multi-year road program. Roads repaved include Cisney Avenue, Orchid Court, Gilbert Court, Kenneth Court, Pansy Avenue (from Floral Boulevard to Crocus Avenue), Gladiolus Avenue (from Atlantic Avenue to Mayfair Avenue), Daisy Avenue, Primrose Avenue (from Floral Boulevard to Mayfair Avenue), Mayfair Avenue (from Calla Avenue to Primrose Avenue), Crocus Avenue (from Pansy Avenue to Primrose Avenue), and Iris Avenue, Violet Avenue and Verbena Avenue (from Tulip Avenue to Carnation Avenue). Also the Holland Avenue parking lot and the Library parking lot were completed as part of this project. In the next several weeks repaving will begin on Stewart Street and Terrace Avenue. Additionally, after the Water Authority of Western Nassau County completes their water main replacement project, these impacted roads will also be repaved.
