Early Registration Starts Wednesday, April 28th

 

The Floral Park Pool will be opening ON TIME this season on June 13, 2021. The information you need to know for an enjoyable summer at the Pool is set forth below.

Discount: Renew your 2021 membership AND sponsor a NEW membership (not a 2020 member) and both memberships receive a 10% discounted 2021 membership (full credit card fees will apply). Both parties must be present at time of transaction. Must be submitted on or before June 13th. No refunds. All Floral Park Pool rules and regulations apply.

Guest pass options: Choose from adult or child guest passes or combination of both. Buy eight passes at regular price and get two free. No refunds.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT OPTIONS

New Memberships:

To register for the 2021 Pool Season, you can obtain a Pool application  below or at the Recreation Center/Pool Building. As always proof of residency (tax receipt, utility bill, lease copy) is required to join.

Please drop off a completed application with proof of residency and payment to the Recreation/Pool Building between 9:00am and 8:00pm, or an application can be dropped off anytime at Village Hall (in the mail slot of the main entrance).

Renewal Memberships:

For renewals of the same membership as the previous year, we will offer online registration.   You can use your email and password created last year for reservations to gain access to the site.   Please note that this option is for credit card use and therefore will have a credit card processing fee attached. https://rec.fpvillage.org/Login.aspx

POOL APPLICATION FEES CAN BE PAID BY CASH, CHECK OR BY THE FOLLOWING CREDIT CARDS:

MASTERCARD, VISA, DISCOVER, AND AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS

Please be advised that, if you choose the credit card option, the credit card companies will charge you a 2.5% convenience fee based on the transaction amount, or a minimum fee of $1.95 whichever is higher.  For more information about paying by credit card click here (link)

Installment Payments:

There is an option to make a full payment for your membership at time of sign up or you can make installment payments to pay off the amount of the membership fee prior to opening day. Click here for further information about installment payments.   

SAFETY PROTOCOLS

After last summer’s very successful Pool season, we will be picking up where we left off–with COVID protocols and precautions in place but with an expectation of being able to accommodate all Pool members visiting the Pool when they wish. As of this writing, the Pool is still subject to capacity limitations pursuant to CDC and DOH Guidelines. These limitations may result in Pool members not being able to attend a session if capacity limitations are met.  However, last Pool season we tracked the Pool attendance numbers hourly and, as the Pool season progressed, were able to accommodate all Pool members request to attend a session whether or not the Pool member had a prior reservation.

Nonetheless, as we are still subject to capacity limitations at this time, we will continue with the reservation system initiated last Pool season. Related to this,  and to provide the Pool staff with the ability to clean and disinfect surfaces during the course of the day (in addition to the cleaning before the Pool opens each day), we will once again be holding two pool sessions per day.

Reservations:

For as long the Pool is subject to capacity limitations based on CDC and DOH Guidelines, Pool reservations will be handled as follows:

Each person will be allowed to sign up via online or by phone for up to three sessions per week (with only one reservation per day and one reservation per weekend). But, to be clear, Pool members are not limited to attending three sessions per week. The reservation simply guarantees the Pool member’s ability to attend a particular session.  In addition to reservations, Pool members will also have the opportunity to call the Pool Building after a session begins on any day to see if there is available capacity at the Pool to come for that session (this will not count towards the three reserved sessions).

ReCPro online scheduling program will be used again this summer to reserve your family’s swim sessions.  For those who cannot use the ReCPro tech program, phone assistance will be available. Click here for Reservation instructions 

 Bring Your Own Seating:

We will continue to ask our members and families to bring their own pool chairs and blankets or towels for seating. Last Pool season, to facilitate the cleaning of common surfaces, we removed the pool chairs and asked Pool members to bring their own chairs. This turned out to be very popular with Pool members, and the overwhelming consensus is for the Pool to continue to have Pool members bring their own seating.

 POOL PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

Last summer, as the Pool season progressed, the Pool was able to phase back in many popular programs (such as the All Day Camp Program, Water Aerobics, Zumba, and Yoga). This will continue this season as we plan to bring back Swimming Lessons, the Swim Team, Family Night and other popular events and programs. Of course, these programs and events may need to be modified as to how they are implemented (to address COVID concerns), but we plan to continue to bring back popular programs and events to the greatest extent we are able.

Pool Booklet is available at the above link and , printed copies will be available at the Recreation Center, Village Hall and Library the week of May 10, 2021.

The Pool Booklet will provide details regarding the Pool and summer programs, but mark your calendars as Pool program registration is scheduled to begin Wednesday May 19th.

POOL MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Residency Policy

Only residents of the Incorporated Village of Floral Park are permitted to use the facilities of the Floral Park Recreation Center and Pool. (Village of Floral Park Leisure Pass Required)

Family Membership

Families permanently residing in the Inc. Village of Floral Park. Membership extends to immediate family members residing at the residence.   Immediate members of the family are the father, mother, children and unmarried full-time college students to age 26.   Married or sons or daughters over the age of 18, grandparents, or other relatives living at the same address must apply for separate membership either as a Family, an Individual or a Senior Citizen. Birth certificates are required for newborns.

Couple Membership

Married couples who are permanent residents of the Inc. Village of Floral Park residing at the same address.   Also applies for a single parent with one child.  Single parents with more than one child must apply for Family Membership.

Individual Membership

A permanent resident of the Inc. Village of Floral Park.  This membership does not entitle any other member of the individual’s family to the use of the pool or its facilities and gives no privileges to any person other than the individual member.  Must be 13 years of age or older. Parent’s signature is required for minors under 18 years of age through the Pool season.

Senior Citizen Membership

An individual 62 years of age or older by Labor Day who is a permanent resident of the Inc. Village of Floral Park. Proof of age required for first time seniors.

Guests Policy- No guest at this time due to COVID-19

The village reserves the right to limit the number of guests and guest privileges. Guests and the sponsoring adult members will be required to register. All guests under 18 years of age must be signed in by their parent or an adult member 18 years of age or over.  Proof of the guest’s residency and/or age is required.  Only persons living outside the borders of pool membership eligibility can be guests of Floral Park Pool members. Members are to stay with their guests at all times.  Only pool members holding a current pool pass can bring in guests.  Fee:  $15.00 for guests 13 years of age and over, $10.00 for those 12 years old and under.  Limit of 10 visits per guest per season.

All exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis. There will be no refunds.  A “Caregiver Pass” will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  Inquire at the Pool Office for more details.
The following MUST be included with pool application
  1. Proof of residence – Current (2020) utility bill.
  2. Birth of Baptismal Certificate (or copies) must be submitted for each child not a member the prior year.
  3. Senior citizens must show proof of age. All documents will be returned with your season passes.
  4. New pool members must have their picture taken at the Pool Building for processing.
    prior members do not need to have photos taken again.  You will be reactivated as a member when fee and proof of residency are received.
  5. Check or money order for the required amount.  Payable to Inc. Village of Floral Park Pool.
Please note

Applications submitted without proper/complete required documentation will be considered incomplete and will not be processed. Only those submitting complete applications at least two weeks prior to the opening of the pool are guaranteed their passes by opening day.

Village of Floral Park Leisure Pass Policy

A Village of Floral Park Leisure Pass is required for use with registration and participation. Additionally, Village of Floral Park passes are required to use all facilities and equipment, as well. All events and activities offered by the Floral Park Recreation Center must adhere to this Village of Floral Park Leisure Pass Policy.

The Village of Floral Park Leisure Pass may be obtained:

1. Village of Floral Park residents can bring completed applications to the Shelter House during business hours of 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

2. A resident who joins the pool is issued a Resident Pool/Leisure Pass which is recognized as a Village of Floral Park Leisure Pass.

There is NO SMOKING at the Floral Park Pool.   Smoking must be kept outside the Pool facility.
